Journey of a Dream

Conceived and Directed by Irina Kruzhilina

Produced by Visual Echo in association with Peace Child International

October 2020

Journey of a Dream, produced by Visual Echo in partnership with Peace Child International, is an intergenerational global project which gathered youth from all around the world to express their dreams and obstacles in a series of online workshops. It takes the audience on a journey, from the birth of a young person’s dream, to its present expression, and hopefully its future realization.

It was created as part of the UN75’s live-streamed event to mark UN Day and the UN’s 75th Anniversary, on October 24th, 2020, with the goal to connect UN representatives and audiences to the aspirations of youth. The series of online workshops led to creation of dreams postcards which were sent to the UN officials, with the intent to establish a connection between individual youth and individual UN representatives. By holding the wishes of these young people in their hands, adults become co-responsible for sharing their wishes with the world, empowering them to help make these wishes come true.

It is our hope to make the voices of youth guide us in the world and into the future. Journey of a Dream invites us to listen to the voices of young people and to trust their wisdom. We invite you participate in this mission. If you belong to a civic, governmental or municipal organization that would like to participate by responding to the global aspirations of young people, please contact me.
